"We want every woman to have a positive experience of the menopause and perimenopause"

— Kate Organ, British Menopause Society registered Menopause Specialist, MRPharms (Hons), MSc, founder & consultant pharmacist with specialist interests in the menopause, PMS, PMDD and mental health. BMS advanced certificate.

With nearly 20 years postgraduate experience working within the NHS, Kate holds the British Menopause Society (BMS) advanced certificate, which is the highest level of specialist menopause training within the UK. Kate holds numerous post graduate qualifications specialising in mental health care, leading her to be a menopause, PMS and PMDD specialist.

It took Kate over 4 years to receive the correct help and support she needed after lengthy and robust challenge to her GP, having undergone numerous unnecessary investigations and misdiagnosis.

Kate’s experience of her GP’s lack of awareness and training to manage the menopause led her to pursue a career to support women experiencing similar circumstances through her own professional development.

As a consultant clinical pharmacist she has expert knowledge in the way that medications work, how they are processed by the body, their risks & benefits, helping you to translate the science behind the evidence base. Her extended professional qualifications enable her to be able to diagnose and prescribe for the perimenopause, menopause and PMS, PMDD.

Kate strongly believes in a holistic approach to health and at the Menopause Specialists offers a full review of medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, exercise and the use of supplementary, complementary and natural treatments for the treatment of the perimenopause and menopause.

Kate is passionate about improving access to information for women so that they are empowered to make informed decisions about their individual care.
